Hotels and Swimming

We have had a busy last 2 weeks. A week ago, we said goodbye to Grammy and Papa. They made it back to Utah safely. We had so much fun with them here, we miss them a lot. Logan and the boys really enjoyed swimming at their hotel pool.

This last weekend we decided to go up to Pueblo to watch Sanford play in the 2A state basket ball tournament. We had a good weekend shopping and swimming in the pool. The boys zonked out for the drive up and the drive home. It was a fun weekend. Chera and Brandon drove down from Denver and it was really fun to spend some time with them.

The pool was a little cold, so Cahl like hanging out in the hot tub. The temperature was just right.

McCray loves jumping from the side. He also likes getting thrown. He squealed like a girl going from Daddy to Grandpa.

4 year old in da House!!!

McCray is now officially 4, as of 8:37 this morning. We had such a fun and busy day!! I can't believe he is 4, time is FLYING by!! Here are some highlights from McCray's 4th birthday!!

McCray, Cash, Parker and Heber. McCray's friends came over for a cupcake and corndog party.
McCray blowing out the candles on his cupcakes.
Playing "Pop the balloon" game. It was really fun. Parker popped his balloon first. It was really cute to see all the different ways the boys tried to pop their balloons.
Cyndi made the cake. It is a green and brown horse, if you couldn't tell. McCray really loves green horses.

Opening presents, he had waited all day long for this!! Sweet!!

Happy Birthday McCray!!!

Today is McCray's 4th birthday. He is so excited for the day. Grammy and Papa are here from Utah to help him celebrate. He has a big day ahead of him. At noon some of his friends are coming over for a birthday lunch and then he can't wait to help me make his horse cake!!

Junior Mints and Jeopardy

I have been slacking on blogging, I apologize. The last couple of weeks, the cold virus has struck the Larsen home. It started out with me, like 2 weeks ago, then I got better. Then McCray and Cahl got sick, a trip to the dr's office later, Cahl had a double ear infection and McCray is feeling better. I got sick again, one of the beauties of being a mom, and now I am better. Knock on wood I think we are getting healthy again. That is what is going on in our house.

Lately, I have been loving watching Jeopardy. It is on at 630 and 10 here, and I usually get to catch the 10 o'clock showing, after the boys have gone to bed. I don't know why, but I am getting hooked on it. Logan and I have a contest to see who can answer the most questions. We even cheer for a particular contestant to win, and we both think Alex Trebak is a complete bonehead!! Call me crazy!!

"Who's gonna turn down a Junior Mint? It's chocolate, it's peppermint -- it's delicious!"- Kramer, in "The Junior Mints"
One thing that has got me through these sick days is Junior Mints. It is my absolute favorite treat. Seriously, if you are sick, pop a couple of Junior Mints and you feel better, they really cure anything! Logan has been really sweet to go and buy me a box or two. Try them anytime!

Christmas

Ellie and Cyndi
Cahl opening one of his presents. This year was fun as he liked to unwrap the present.

Cora and Cahl. It was fun to see the Blakes and Cahl was spoiled by Cora, Maddie and Ellie.

McCray and James. McCray wanted a red barn from Santa and was really excited when Santa came through.

McCray and Cahl in new Christmas jammies.

Okay, so I know that it is almost the middle of January and I am now just posting Christmas, but I am a little behind. This year we went to Utah. Everyone in my family was in town. Blakes from Ohio and Duncans from Connecticut. We had a blast. Logan got to go skiing. Cahl was sick and teething, but overall we had a good time with family. I think the highlight was everyone in church. We took over the sixth ward. Judith and the Kernel were so proud to have 3 rows of Blakes in the chapel. We loved playing with all the cousins and we owe a HUGE, HUGE thank you to Mere and Matt for letting us crash at their place.

Oh Christmas Tree!!

Roscoe loves to lay under the tree
Hauling the tree up to the truck

Cahl watches on

McCray and Logan hauling the tree out.

About a week ago, we went up into the mountains and cut down our Christmas tree. It was really fun to go as a family and ride in Logan's big pickup. We brought the tree home and decorated. Then earlier this week McCray thought that it would be cool to grab his bat and an ornament. Then he thought that it would be really cool if he smashed one of the ornaments with his bat! Then we were cutting out a manager scene from a magazine and McCray thought it would be awesome if he cut up one of the ornaments from Kella, from Romania. Oh, the joys of Christmas!!

Toiletpaper Fun

One of the joys of being a mom is getting to clean up after your kids. The other day I was on the computer and the boys were playing. It got really quiet, and I was kind of enjoying it a little too much. When I was done, I found out why. The pictures explain everything. Yep, that is two jumbo sized toilet paper rolls, strewn across the hallway and McCray's room, courtesy of McCray and Cahl, partners in crime. Oh, you gotta love it!! When I asked McCray what happened and who did it, guess what he said, " It wasn't me Mom, it was Cahl." I guess this is some payback for all the times that I went toiletpapering!
