Oh Christmas Tree!!

Roscoe loves to lay under the tree
Hauling the tree up to the truck

McCray and Logan hauling the tree out.

About a week ago, we went up into the mountains and cut down our Christmas tree. It was really fun to go as a family and ride in Logan's big pickup. We brought the tree home and decorated. Then earlier this week McCray thought that it would be cool to grab his bat and an ornament. Then he thought that it would be really cool if he smashed one of the ornaments with his bat! Then we were cutting out a manager scene from a magazine and McCray thought it would be awesome if he cut up one of the ornaments from Kella, from Romania. Oh, the joys of Christmas!!

Toiletpaper Fun

One of the joys of being a mom is getting to clean up after your kids. The other day I was on the computer and the boys were playing. It got really quiet, and I was kind of enjoying it a little too much. When I was done, I found out why. The pictures explain everything. Yep, that is two jumbo sized toilet paper rolls, strewn across the hallway and McCray's room, courtesy of McCray and Cahl, partners in crime. Oh, you gotta love it!! When I asked McCray what happened and who did it, guess what he said, " It wasn't me Mom, it was Cahl." I guess this is some payback for all the times that I went toiletpapering!

Update

These are the vests Kella brought back from Romania for the boys.

Cahl and Garrett playing.

Chowing down at Thanksgiving.

McCray and Logan went shooting Thanksgiving morning.

Here is the update on our lives for the last week. Things have been pretty crazy!! Kella came home from Romania and then we had Thanksgiving and things were pretty crazy from there, but they seemed to have settled down now. We had a great Thanksgiving and are really anxious for Christmas. We will be heading out to Utah to spend it with the Blake's. The whole crew will be there, so we are excited!!

Thankful for....

Today I am thankful for two things. I have been meaning to update the blog since Sunday, but you know how it goes. The first thing that I am thankful for is the gospel. I am a teacher in Relief Society, and I love it!! I have learned so much from this calling. I am going to probably be released soon. The gospel has given me so much in my life. I can never thank my parents enough for raising me in the gospel and giving me that gift. I am thankful for Jesus Christ and all that he did for me. The gospel gives us as parents such a great guide for raising our kids. Because of the gospel, I will not only be with Logan forever, but my children as well. That is awesome!!!

Second thing I am grateful for, totally random, is my MP3 player. Without it, my runs would totally suck and be so mundane. I love it when I have new songs to download, it just makes my run so much better.

By popular request....

So, I couldn't be thankful for friends without being thankful for my sisters. The two go hand in hand. Without my sisters, I would seriously be the biggest loser!!! My sisters are my best friends in the whole world. They are the number one reason I miss living in Utah!! We have so much fun when we are together! I love calling and chatting with them. It always makes my day. What can I say, my sisters are the best. Who else would run a marathon with me, Alli, my sister. They are the best shopping partners and who else is going to tell you that those pants really do make you look hideously huge and you not hate them and actually agree with. They are the only ones that totally feel your pain on getting the dumb genes that make you have little boobs, huge birthing hips and thunder thighs!! My sisters help keep me in touch with the "real world", and would totally tell me if I was turning into a "redneck." I love each and everyone of my sisters, they are so special to me!! I am so lucky and blessed to have them as my sisters!!

Thankful for Friends

This weekend, Logan and I went to the city!!! YEAH!!! It was so nice. We met up with our friends, Brandon and Michelle. Logan and Brandon went to the Air Force vs. BYU ( Go Airforce!!) game while Michelle and I got to go shopping. It was so much fun to be in the city, especially with Michelle. She is so fun to be with and one of my dearest friends. Our husbands didn't think that we could shop the whole time that they were at the game, Yeah right, think again. We had a fun weekend. The picture above was from the BoulderBolder. My sisters and I ran the race with Michelle, and she kicked all our butts!!!

Thankful for my woodstove

Winter is here in the San Luis Valley. Our lows at night are between 10 and 15 and the highs for the day time have been in the low 40's. It snowed on Monday, but it is almost all melted. This is like the third time this season that it has snowed. Anyway, in real winter it gets below zero at night and during the day the high is only like 20. I am thankful for our woodstove because it heats our house so well. If we didn't have it, then our energy bill would be like $600 a month, no joke. So, I am thankful for my woodstove that keeps our house so warm and the best husband who makes the best fires!!! Plus, hauling the wood in makes me strong, like the pioneers!!

Thanks for the " Twilight" series

Okay, so funny story. I talked to my sister Meredith today and she was totally against reading the "Twilight series." Then she got talked into it. I think she is hooked. Then my friend Michelle calls me and tells me that she is hooked in the series. I just thought it was funny. We were talking about how some people are really obsessed with the books. But, how most of them are older women, when the book was originally written for junior and high school age. I personally loved the series and am currently reading it for a second time. It is very entertaining and a fast read. Today I am thankful for these books for helping us women out and giving us some very good reads. Thanks Stephenie Meyers.

Thanks for Cahl

Today I am thankful for my Cahl. I love just sitting and watching him. It is so fun to see him discover new things and then look at me and smile. I love to hear his little gibberish that he says. He definitely is a handful. He loves to get into everything. He gives the best kisses and loves to blow rasberries on your cheek. He is a big-time Mama's boy!! I love his smile when I get back from being gone. His laugh makes me laugh. He loves to follow around his big brother and to play with him. I am so lucky to have such a beautiful boy!! He is sensitive and hates to be told "No." His favorite foods are fruit snacks and any type of cookie. He is spoiled!!! I love my Cahl!!! Thanks for Cahl.

Thanks for Mama's Boys

Today I am thankful for my McCray. He is my sunshine!!! He is a big time Mama's Boy and I LOVE IT!!!! He makes me smile every time I look at him. He loves tractors and horse's and anything country. He is my cowboy. He has the most tender heart of anyone I know. He sings the ABC's while going to the bathroom and it makes me laugh. He wants to know everything and "Why?" I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to raise this sweet spirit. I love that he comes and gets in my bed every morning and wants to snuggle and " hold my cheek." He truly loves everyone and really wants everyone to come play at his house. For Christmas he wants a real pony that he can ride to come live at his house, we will have to see about that. He has so much energy that sometimes I wish I could bottle it up and drink some for me. He is only 3 1/2 and the best big brother on the planet. He loves his little brother so much, but not when he gets into his horses or their corral. I have loved every minute of being his mom. I love you McCray. I am THANKFUL for McCray.

Thanks for Logan

Okay, so I decided that since this is November, and it is Thanksgiving, that everyday I need to be grateful for something. Today I pick Logan. I know this one is easy and obvious, but I think that is the number one thing I am thankful for. ( besides the gospel, that will probably come later on a different post.) Logan has made so many things in my life possible. I would not have my beautiful boys, or my wonderful house. I probably wouldn't be living in Sanford, and I would probably would not be a Broncos fan. Logan is the HARDEST worker that I know. He is the BEST dad to our boys. He is my other half. I guess you could say that he is my Edward Cullen. ( Cheesy, I know, but some of you may get it.) I love Logan forever and am so happy that he picked me to be his wife. He makes me laugh and cry and is the only person on the planet that would put up with my crap!! He has supported me through so much and has made so many of my dreams come true. He honors his priesthood and keeps me on the straight and narrow. He thinks I am sexy no matter what size I am. He is soooo good to me. Thanks for Logan!!!

Joined the blogging world

Hello to everyone,

We are joining the blogging world. I don't know how good I will be at this, I might need a lot of help from Camille, but now hopefully people can keep up with us. Nothing too exciting going on right now. The boys are growing so fast and I LOVE staying at home with them. Logan is busy working and being a good dad. That is our life. This is our most recent family photo. Cahl's first birthday. Time goes by soo fast.
